Woke up in the middle of the night shivering my ass off, my feet became ice cubes ..! & then prawned in my sleeping bag for the next few hours zzz

Had a damn tough time waking my tent people up ..! Too cold alr, everyone didn't feel like moving. Felt like an idiot exchanging track pants for shorts x_x

Chased everyone out of tents & packed up w frozen fingers, omg the wind was killer. Ms Gao stood like a pole & walked w penguin steps lololol!

Gave out remaining Gatorade powder in the dark;

MS LEE & THE GUYS KUP EVERYTHING!

Too much! The girls all got diluted pee, the guys got like 6, 7 scoops each. Ms Lee best, 10+ ..!

Shia/ Cindy/ Pmz: Aiyah damn it, shouldn't have left our Nike bottles @ base!

And so we continue our laborious trek down:

Going downslope was a bitch, srsly. @ least when going upslope, it's just (quote Cindy) brute phys strength, but when going down you've got to rly focus & think about where you're gna put your foot

Much love & admiration for the people w injuries, esp Shihting & her giant blisters, + ZZ w old injuries & cut toe!

People (eg. Yi'an) kept falling & sliding on the very muddy ground ..! & Jason ripped a hole in his tights bec it got caught on a nasty tree root:

Reached Bonsai in 45, instead of estimated 1 hour. & everyone started taking out their bread & trail mixes ..! Ms Lee forced some people to offload things, & made the guys throw away their keezhangs:

Ms Lee: This is water break! Not breakfast!

Somehow the trek back wasn't very drawn out. Jason kept mourning for CK & whenever Grp#2 managed to catch up w Grp#1, those two always had some kind of lovey-dovey exchange lololol!

Ms Gao: CK! On Jason's behalf I dedicate this to you:

& since we were all laughing @ stupid jokes + their antics, we always forgot to warn people about roots or trunks or branches. So Cindy caused Yi'an & I to hit our heads against overhead tree trunks, & I caused Jason to trip over roots + walk into branches :/

Just bef entering the forest we stopped @ mini rest-stop to catch up on FA & water-parade. Tweezers, tweezers ..!

Ms Gao: Cannot shit already, I've lost the feeling :(

And then Kokswee farted in Ms Gao's face ...! @ first Ms Gao didn't realize it was Kokswee bec she thought it was Justin:

Ms Gao: He (Justin) was in the perfect farting posture! D:

But then Kokswee turned around & apologized! (Damn it, Kokkok)

Ms Gao now holds an eternal grudge against Kokswee ;D

Continued on w/o much incident except that Ms Gao wasn't walking straight for the first five mins hahaha! Laugh until stomach pain z_z

Five minutes to Belumut, Yi'an ripped her shorts on a tree root sticking out from the right. The riiiiiiip was epic ..! & everyone pseudo-panicked hahaha ..!

Walking @ the back is super funny, constant stream of free entertainment (esp fr Jason)! Kind of made the harder & longer part of the trek melt away:

Had lunch & watched some middle-aged people hike up. Then Mr Ong produced a can of tuna from his bag! & put it up for grabs (or specifically, chicken floss). That Junhao, kept it in his bag & say No more when he was stealing mouthfuls from it with his back towards everyone else ..!

Ms Gao: Eh Junhao, you say don't have any more ..!
Junhao: I have! Inside here (points to stomach) :D

After the battle set off for challenging 3.5km ..! Steep slopes ftw x_x

Just one of the many slopes we conquered! When we were going down I kept wondering how I managed to go up the prev day x_x srsly abseiling ..!

FINALLY, @ PERMATANG:

Then it was freaking 90 minutes left to Kem Kor! Everyone started chiong-ing & then when we could see/ hear the river we went wild. The few of us @ the back later embarked on a 100m SPRINT :D

For us normal people it was a sprint to the campsite, for Jason it was a sprint into CK's arms hahaha!

Set up tents while cooking group dove for maggi & lunch boxes:

Shia, Xun & Yilin; you don't see the boys here ..! (they're redundant ahaha)

Then the girls went to dip feet in the river! We were kept VERY entertained by the boys a little upstream ..! Esp Kokswee & Jason squealing bec they were lying down in the river & washing face

Suddenly:

Then we went up to immerse ourselves in the freezing water (again). This time I rly submerged myself ;D

Stayed in there for q a long time bec felt too cold to get out. & also bec people like Shia & Yilin just couldn't seem to force themselves to sit down in the water hahaha!

Went back to campsite for dinner & then we started fighting over 午餐肉! First taste of meat in 4 days (& this is why none of us can become vegetarians!) & we were watching it go down Jason's & Ms Lee's throats

In the end, she concedes:

No hard feelings luh, just too ridiculously funny!

Later I took over the luncheon meat & went around being an impartial distributor ;D (I swear, everyone had seconds/ thirds/ fourths/ fifths except me lololol) Ms Lee, CK & Jason were reduced to begging for luncheon meat lolol! Hilarious ttm :D

Then Ms Gao brewed a second round of hot tea, & we all fought over it again z_z

Later went for a very warm, cosy debrief on the tarp. Recapped the trek, & talked about the stupid things that were said & done :D + jokes kept springing up, both cold ones & Yo momma ones

The guides occasionally shone their powerful night lights @ the sky & forest, & it's rly q 强. We were asking why they were giggling & playing around w the torches:

Ms Lee: (starts laughing) Don't need use already what! They switch on for fun luh!

Most of us were staring @ the night sky (as usual). Very rarely do we Sg kids get to see the beauty of darkness in all its untouched purity ♥

The longest debrief of the trip (so far) & the environment was so calming. All the insect noises & rustling leaves. Like I should be afraid, but none of us were?

Heartwarming!

Saw another shooting star (: then retreated into our tents for q a good night's rest (srsly never dreamt AT ALL throughout the trip!)
