Expedition was very okay!, forward paddling is almost effortless to me :D although Mslee lost her temper for awhile, we didn't go in single file through the construction but it's alright, none of us lost ourselves ;)

but kokswee nearly got killed by a dragonboat:

Kokswee: I can't move! they'll just zam me back D:

We paired up but xun eli & i formed a threesome, but we kinda separated since i either went too fast or lagged behind too much

Xun: Pmz! Where are you? I can't watch you if i can't see you!
Pmz: Why can't you see me? I'm behind you!

Paddled to the merlion (which got struck by lightning about 4+) & was supposed to do Queen, but we got Jason to rep us :)

CK: OHMYGOD!
Pmz: Yes you summoned me?
Cindy: You're his goddess! :D
Kokswee: 屁!

Mslee taught us kayak-to-swimmer rescue & i figured i would probably turn the other way bec i won't have the strength to paddle the stupid swimmer + me back to shore D:

and there are a few methods for the swimmer to grab onto the kayak, i think hugging the bow is easiest (for rescuer) but all of them are awkward for the swimmer hahaha

Eli: Omg have to jump (onto the kayak)? I don't want to jump! How to jump?

Had a little bit of time to practice scaline draw which i mastered pretty quickly :D it's about the only thing i truly mastered in the entire course :/

Then we had a quick lunch while the two Level2s & jason stayed back to learn roll:

Xun: How big is the rice (serving?)
Cindy: (shows size of rice grain) This big!

We had Level2 skills test & i passed edging, scaline & low brace; FINALLY got the hang of high recovery (but q controlled, up till elbow touch water) when she tested me -_- bec i never dared to really do it unless absolutely necessary :/

and then it started to pour really, really heavily & the raindrops were really hard, it hurt when they hit my face & (extremely sunburnt) arms -_-

Mslee was shouting about how this is a real situation where you would cap & she was considering getting us to cap but lightning alert sent us running back to pack up:

(Kaiming was in storeroom)
Mslee: Lightning always strikes the tallest person (justin immediately bends down), where's kaiming? let him get struck first :)
Us: KAIMING! Go stand out there!
Kaiming: Oh okay (waves & walks towards the river) Bye bye!

After showering we had a short theory lesson about tides & different boats & things:

Mslee's ex-classmate: We had to go through SO MUCH SHIT

Trooped to subway for dinner again, where xun managed to
A) drop her sandwich &
B) drop chocolate cookie crumbs into her sprite

i couldn't really eat bec of ulcers so i gave up & gave one-third my dinner to xun & brought two double-choc cookies home :)

(Bringing one to school tmr!, since i only ate one today)

12'ed home with zz bec kokswee & kaiming took mrt, & got about 4 songs from him ahaha theres this veryvery cute song :D and we almost couldn't get on the bus since the front was jammed up but the back was -_-

got my mama to come fetch me from tanah since it was pouring v heavily by the time i got there & the car needed petrol pumping

Next week we've dragonboating CIP or dragonboating & CIP, don't know which, but it means getting burnt all over again & ANOTHER ONE OF MY PRECIOUS SATURDAYS GONE :(:(

but i love Odac despite my many inadequacies and we're making an Odac jersey in time for cycling exped :D

& while waiting to shower xun suggested that one day we should come out kayaking on our own
