☂ PUMPKINMONTH!!!!

if you're not excited you're wrong (๑´ᴗ`๑)

okay so like legit the only reason why i am here apart from being literal trash is because as pumpkinmonths go since 2012, it's examtiem just around the corner & i am procrastinating.

got hit by a wave of nostalgia the other night & thought i'd come see how this relic is doing, but apparently blogger has been eating all the images i uploaded by url. that's like nearly 90% of all the photos i've posted since 2014!! anyway i thought it was just chrome, so i hopped over to safari but it's also the same, so i've decided blogger is a cashew. the funny thing is normally i would care, but for some reason i'm quite meh about it. maybe it comes with detachment? that i haven't been here on so long (hel-lo first post of 2015!) that i am not thaaaaat ruffled by empty squares on my blogface.

to business!— how quickly pumpkinmonth flies! it's been 27 days and i've done so few noteworthy things, except turn 23 just over two weeks ago & sleep uneasily at night knowing my first paper is only 6 days away, not sure if ready ( ╯︵╰ ) but on the upside, the weather is finally warming up properly & mOST IMPORTANTLY stabILISING!!

where to start!!?

i said i got promoted and that is true, though it's not quite the promotion i'd hoped. see a couple months ago i got passed over a staff position i wanted so damn badly that for DAYS after getting the call i did absolutely nothing but ruminate. looking back, how melodramatic & dangerous was that? ( ´_` ) bec let's face it, i'm a uni student & i definitely had better things to do

ANYWAY FACT IS, just last week i scored myself a nomination & interview for an intermediate leadership position & have successfully climbed up one rung in the RST hierarchy at MRS! so yay me, & i'm def looking forward to being the
f i r s t female Senior RA
incoming at Briggs 2016 ( ︶ᴗ︶ ) and literally all of MRS ever

granted the position is so new it's literally in its first year & next year its 2nd, but baby step notwithstanding it is such a fantastic opportunity! have been giddy all weekend thinking about possibilities re shaping, developing, & setting expectations for the role & future kids. tbh i've thoroughly relished the RA position both at briggs & centrally despite it being a rough ride overall, because hello management? is my jam?? and i am so ✔✔✔ at it??? P was right though, bec i've gone & immersed myself in all the regular opportunities that RAs could possibly do in my first year, what's left & what's next? WELL THIS!!!

sidenote: look at all the buzzwords i'm using D; side effect of writing countless covers & editing CVs (◡_◡)

perks of stepping up incl. a ROOM WITH EXTRA 15 SQ M do you KNOW how happy that makes me!! all my stuff will finally have personal space :') but also BLUE CARPET bec i'm so sick of orange, you'd think i'd have gotten used to them having lived with one for nearly 2 years now but nO the hate is strong with this one ( ` Д ´ )

and a sweet, sweet scholarship!!! *claws face* buzzfeed & studying abroad as an international student have taught me that when life offers you free residency, YOU TAKE IT especially when the caveat is not even really a caveat i just *SCREAMS*

at this point i bounce between excitement & overwhelming dread so often i'm quite amazed i haven't crashed. well summer is just around the corner & my freedom is four weeks away! super looking forward to running training seshs & programmes for the incoming batch incl. central leaders, i'm so excited i'm so excited i'm

it's really been quite the adventure so far, to put things lightly, and a lot of the worst has come from my own doing. some days i sit & marvel at the person i've become, and others... others are quiet days.

i wanted to write a little bit more than just two lines but as it turns out, i'm not so sure i'm ready yet.
