Daddy brought the family out for early dins at 天天 :D on the basis that i should have good sg food before i fly. And I absolutely agree because I love chicken rice, esp at dedicated chicken rice places. Honestly i love the feeling of sharing half a chicken w the family ♥

Also because i didn't realize there was an outlet just nearby until a week ago?!

Later biu gor dropped by to hand me an Android phone plus send me off to Changi :)) originally supposed to get his used iPhone 3Gs but for some reason i got a brand new LG??? ♥

Anyway the 4D babes got me jigsaws for my birthday!! /melts. Was contemplating whether i should take them on the plane or leave them with mummy and daddy? in any case they're sitting pretty under my desk nao :D

Afterwards got quite amused w one security officer at the gates when he was manhandling (?) Patpat and the dear almost fell out of the tray:

but he wasn't looking at me when he said that so i wonder if he was apologizing to the toy..?

Hello from EK404!!

We were caged in by this Aussie guy. He was very nice, but it's always a little awkward asking a stranger to excuse you... plus he was sleeping (i think) most of the time. Plane etiquette :X

And he was heavily sunburnt ~_~ finally understand why people stare at me when i haz lobster skin.

Indicator stickers!

You paste them on the top of your seat so the stewards don't wake you up unnecessarily. Quite considerate :)) on SQ the stewards used to prod you awake regardless, not sure if they still do that?

Anyway, nom time!!

Pan-fried snapper w saffron dill sauce and herbed mashed potatoes :D

Errrr managed to forget that mashed potatoes were part of the meal :X and so got quite alarmed at how soft and squishy the ~fish was. In my defence I turned the light off and they were the same color!!?

but that aside,

I LOVE AIRPLANE FOOD!!!
Always very puzzled by complaints about substandard fare but to be fair, I guess people are equally befuddled by my indie take :D

Still to be fairer, who ask you fly substandard airlines??! /elitist /judgmental /logical #trollface

I love emirates cos their cabins are so pretty!! their business class seats are varnished wood and white (p)leather :D love anything with a white-brown color combination.

Part of why i like night flights is that normally i get to see sunrises :D something about watching the sky change color? Kept vigil for faint horizon rainbows, but i guess that'll only happen with USA and Johannesburg.

Mad awesome exterior cameras! Only nice when flying over urban areas w/o cloud cover HAHA.

Sky got REALLY bright round 7AM, don't know if it's cos it's spring or i'm closer to the sun...? but window shots are one of my favorite things on a plane :D it's as if making up for the inconvenience of being jammed in a corner.

The best part is behind the wing :)) shots from a plane window look amazing either way but imo the wing makes everything look phenomenal.

I think I travel along that highway fr Tullamarine t Monash? :)) and i'm guessing this off Google maps and a vague memory. Probably another highway that looks like that cos at the time of shot i still had about six minutes of flight time. That's a lot of ground to cover ,_,

Kept seeing signs like that EVERYWHERE along the terminal. Honestly i think only kiamsup people would actually take time to browse? most people would be too tired to want t do anything other than clear immigration asap :X

Actually come to think of it... why would anyone be tired after a flight? HAHA food for thought.

Watching the bags pop out from the metal chute.

Had to chase my bag a couple meters cos it was dead heavy and resting near the top of the conveyor. Damn laggy passengers!!!!! Have never exactly looked forward to baggage claim (Y U NO respond to Accio??) but before today i have never felt so embarrassed dragging my bag off the belt before ~_~

Fellow female passenger: Oh my goodness! Are you alright?
Pmz: Yeah :) no worries! Just heavy.
FFP: Oh dear. Do you have a trolley? Do you need one?

A little creepy how efficient cab drivers are. It's nearly impossible trying to hail a cab roadside but call-booking is a breeze. I'm sure sg cabbies help people with their bags and all but i'm really impressed w the level of Melb service :D

or maybe I just haven't seen enough of the world yet HAHA. Oh well.

Suburbs!

Got unusually excited to see that signage -__- Xiaopinglaoshi would be proud, tytyty. Got to admit it's really quite hard for sgreans to visualize suburbs and inner city sconces cos the city-state is so small. Even area-mapping as in classifying Tampines, Tanjong Pagar etc as suburbs don't quite cut it but there are very real divisions out here..!

Aww Xiaopinglaoshi was so excited when i told him i finally understand suburbs and inner city circles :') makes it quite upsetting to truly understand such a concept only now... better late than never right?

Still prefer my small home country. Even after close to four months I'm still finding Melbourne too big.

AND. the weather was being a troll -___---- as usual. Moment we got to the house it started to rain. Then it kept alternating between rain, sun and cloud in rapid succession for the next six hours burrrrrrrr.

Special mention cos i have wanted it almost six years. SIX!! must be really popular since there's still stock. Back home i used a couple IKEA bedspreads that aren't on the shelf anymore /vintage.
