Thought i'd try these out, after the longest time (since freaking march??!) would've given it a go sooner, but i had work; and after tcc, just kinda lazy... in defense i had other more important things on my mind..! D;

Anyway held out long enough, and i still had to get a baking dish (eyes set on a glass pyrex, le sigh), mixers, ingredients and everything...

Wanting to bake in a new country is hard :( i guess in time i will find the opportune time to get a blender and a standing mixer so i can has cakes from scratch

Original recipe called for blueberries but they are so expensive ;A; apparently there is no such thing as bluebies season down under.

Gorgeous subs :D strawbies in sg are tart as anything but the ones here ooze sweetness.

Oven-ready & tummy-ready!

Didn't really know what to expect so was kind of... disappointed? when the first bite tasted like biscuit and strawberry jam. But after a couple more forkfuls (with strawbie cubes too) it began to taste like cobbler :D

Then i stayed kinda happy until i referred back to the recipe webpage, the crumbs looked so fine and delicate there :'( renaming my dessert boulder bars!! curse the butter for melting while i was patting in the crust and strawbies.

Still, first try. *pats*

Yes it's really 5:18PM ,_, people eat dinner really early here. I don't know if it's cos the sky gets dark so fast, that we're compelled to make dins early or maybe cos i'm too bored, but it's a serious conscious effort t resist cooking temptations till 7+.

Made faux carbonara for dins :D got all the ingredients prepped, then waited till 8+ (ie. after everyone was done) to get cracking. Kinda poor decision cos cooking pasta is nosegasmic :X

Try it yourself here ..! don't say i don't share :| but you'll find i mess around a lot and my pics don't look like hers.

Faux cos it's not real carbonara unless it's got cream and bacon, see?

This is gonna be a pointless one.

but it just struck me ystd how awesome i've gotten at slicing zucchini:

No doubt born out of bar training :> ever since boss T criticized my lime rounds (but now you'd be hard-pressed to find chioer slices than mine).

I really take criticism to heart :X

Anyway a bit wasted cos later i chopped them all up for fried rice. Next time i should find something atas that has to do with zucchini (or cucumber or green marrow) but until then...

Inverted in my sleep, HAHA when was the last time I did it?? also pretty much why i woke up at 8+ cos the sun was so bright. BUT I LOVE SUN so it doesn't matter :))

They're gonna be one week old soon!!!!!!!!!!! still taste delish but taking up precious space in the fridge. Maybe i should nom them all (7 squares left) tomorrow ..? *contemplates*

Oh i love how, in the second shot, it looks like i'm in a high-rise apartment. I'd really love to live in a condo someday!!! but following the National day rally speeches it seems HDB flats remain unaffordable. Don't make me relocate here leh, i bet the house i'm staying in costs less than a four-room flat D:
