Anyway the little army takes up ≥½ bed space machiam sleeping with a lover omggggg #foreveralone hahahahaha but still very thankful that i don't have any dust mite allergies or asthma :) what will i do if i can't have my friends protecting me from 夜來妖怪??!

Temperature went past 20 today!! :D first warm sunny afternoon in DAYS. odd, cos it's technically summer now~ but K says that it's not unlike melb to have 40+ degrees some days, so kind of treasuring these cold spells

It's still a little dampening (heeheeeeee pun) cos i have suffered almost six months of cold weather -__----- if it snowed in melb i wouldn't complain so much LOL.

Went to IKEA to get my frames! loving the ribba series, walnut effect :) but they're kinda expensive?! Wish they'd roll out a two-photo model, got single and triple but no in-between i ask sky why like that.

Decided school wasn't worth it ("mahs-es" omg) so set about washing the bedclothes :) meant to change the bedsheet and spreads every 6 weeks but got lazy last week heh *sheepish*

Actually don't even know how often you should change your bedspreads. thought maybe i should do it monthly but like too often leh?

Part of why i like night flights is that normally i get to see sunrises :D something about watching the sky change color? Kept vigil for faint horizon rainbows, but i guess that'll only happen with USA and Johannesburg.

Sky got REALLY bright round 7AM, don't know if it's cos it's spring or i'm closer to the sun...? but window shots are one of my favorite things on a plane :D it's as if making up for the inconvenience of being jammed in a corner.

Got unusually excited to see that signage -__- Xiaopinglaoshi would be proud, tytyty. Got to admit it's really quite hard for sgreans to visualize suburbs and inner city sconces cos the city-state is so small. Even area-mapping as in classifying Tampines, Tanjong Pagar etc as suburbs don't quite cut it but there are very real divisions out here..!

Aww Xiaopinglaoshi was so excited when i told him i finally understand suburbs and inner city circles :') makes it quite upsetting to truly understand such a concept only now... better late than never right?

Still prefer my small home country. Even after close to four months I'm still finding Melbourne too big.

Thought i'd try these out, after the longest time (since freaking march??!) would've given it a go sooner, but i had work; and after tcc, just kinda lazy... in defense i had other more important things on my mind..! D;

Anyway held out long enough, and i still had to get a baking dish (eyes set on a glass pyrex, le sigh), mixers, ingredients and everything...

Wanting to bake in a new country is hard :( i guess in time i will find the opportune time to get a blender and a standing mixer so i can has cakes from scratch

Original recipe called for blueberries but they are so expensive ;A; apparently there is no such thing as bluebies season down under.

Gorgeous subs :D strawbies in sg are tart as anything but the ones here ooze sweetness.

Didn't really know what to expect so was kind of... disappointed? when the first bite tasted like biscuit and strawberry jam. But after a couple more forkfuls (with strawbie cubes too) it began to taste like cobbler :D

Then i stayed kinda happy until i referred back to the recipe webpage, the crumbs looked so fine and delicate there :'( renaming my dessert boulder bars!! curse the butter for melting while i was patting in the crust and strawbies.

Whenever I take the MRT nowadays I always swing out of the way just so I can pop in at IB. Decided on a detour yesterday, and spent about half an hour with F and his staff at Ion :) miss him so much, and they’re such friendly people.

It’s quite … how do you put it, intriguing? to note how much F knows about what’s going on at IB, even when, like me, he's not there anymore. I guess it accidentally highlighted how much upper management is determined to keep from me (but I always knew they were in up to here, even before I left.)

And I know this because whenever I drop by (4 times in less than 3 weeks!) the part-timers are always very quick to insist I come back. Mostly because my resignation has been rejected, that I have orders waiting, etc.. :’) it’s really a very nice feeling, to be missed.

I think it’s very evident that I still love the place, despite some later unhappiness, and that everyone who’d worked with me can see that. Also it’s rather profound, considering it was only 17 weeks… still, there’s

It’s quite interesting to see how we converge on social media. The past few months have been awful, mostly me cancelling/ postponing on everybody cause of my work forever getting in the way. Now it’s over, thank goodness, I can finally breathe again D;

There’s still guilt at all the times I had to say no, in chasing schedules. It wasn’t so much the money (allowance? if you’ll call it) but on hindsight I don’t quite know why I strung myself out so tight. All for what?? D;

There’re times when I don’t immediately have the answers to all the questions my actions raise. Sometime later in my life maybe, but this TCC thing ....... don’t think it’s gonna be one of them.

maybe it's cause i'm leaving ib soon, but everyone's become reeeeeeeeeeeally open with me. telling me their fears, wants, things i'm pretty sure they'll never tell anyone else. not even their closest friends maybe, cause i know, sometimes it's less of a war to confide in strangers cause you know you'll never see them again.

and we talked about how forever is. about how people come and people go; also about how all this will just be a phase in my youth, mere stepping-stone in my life but a permanent wall-sticker on theirs. i always knew the f&b industry isn't something any capable person should or would or can do long-time. j said she wasn't sure what's next maybe ten years down and that probably applies to everyone at ib too.

but we never linger too long on them because i am more interesting with my uni. so we talk about my future and then it's like a light goes out in their (her) eyes.

it kind of made me wonder why i am so worried over other people's futures, when my own is equally uncertain. i mean so what if i get my degree? cause the market i'm catapulting into looks upwards of masters. and the cabby i discussed options with sighed about yesterday and tomorrow and how we pay more than we earn nowadays. like he said (and i quite agree), it's almost as though you need to buy your way up into a good life, rather than work your way there.

Yay fun day out today, got to chill with the lit darlings after the longest time :) and as usual indulged in awfullychocolate ice cream! at ion.

So we spent a couple hours at Ion B4 catching up about the past month or so, discussing work. It's quite amazing how we're all involved in completely different work experiences now, and also how despite haven't really interacted face-to-face for over a month we're still not awkward with one another. I guess it's really a mark of how strong this friendship is that while we've all grown up we've done so together, instead of growing apart too.

Only makes me miss school that much more :'( not for knowledge or for homework but company and (surprisingly) canteen food, sigh.

Went out for a quick spin ystd t escape studying for a while. Hurhurrrrrrrrrrrr :) felt good though. First spin in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages since the destruction of the PCNs near my house began. LOL so much for recreational networking ..!

Pretty :'), t be travelling down routes I used t take as a sleepy kid, uber long ago. Color me lucky ya, for being able t relive some memories ;D

I think some things we take for granted, we don't usually recover in our lifetime. Which is sobering bec then it's like losing this one part of you. Like losing a limb! Though honestly, not as dramatic as a physical handicap but all the same, the thought of disintegration is :/ to me, at least.

Sigh, dreary thoughts. Accompanies the ridiculous weather we've been having ..! Think two days ago it was mad cold and rainy, I liked it a lot but really it's uber difficult to be happy in gloomy environments.
